Team:  Boys’ Varsity Assistant Coach

Geoff Warta is in his second year as Boys’ Varsity Assistant for Denmark High School.  Prior to Denmark, Warta spent 3 years at Lambert High School during the first years of its program including 2 years as the Varsity Boys’ Assistant and 1 year as the JV Boys’ head coach.   Warta’s time at Lambert HS concluded at the end of the 2012 season helping Lambert to a 23-0 record and the programs first State Championship.  He has also coached several youth teams over the years since graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Economics from Saint Mary’s College of California in 1998.  Warta also holds a USSF “D” License.

Warta played for four years at the division one collegiate level in the West Coast Conference for Saint Mary’s College of California as a midfielder and defenseman.  Warta’s achievements as a player at La Salle High School included being a 2 year Captain, 3 first team All-Conference selections, 2 first team All-State selections and runner up for Player of the Year in the State of Oregon in 1994.  He also lead his team to two State Championship games and finished his Senior season with 19 goals and 11 assistant as a defensive midfielder.

Coach Warta has lived in Cumming, GA since 2004 and is married with 3 children.
